Squirrels Leap

A traditional cut-string staircase reimagined through modern engineering and manufacturing. While rooted in classic staircase design, this project showcases how advanced production methods can elevate timeless craftsmanship to an entirely new level.

At its heart is a fully bespoke continuous handrail, precision-machined on our 5-axis CNC technology to create a seamless flow throughout the staircase with no interruptions or compromises in the design. Custom-designed and manufactured bronze spindles provide elegant support, eliminating the need for bulky newel posts and allowing the beauty of the staircase to take centre stage.

Every detail was carefully considered, from the flawless top tread nosing that creates a refined transition into the first-floor flooring, to the balanced proportions and clean lines throughout. Finished in a bespoke stain developed to the client's exact specification, the rich timber tones are complemented by contrasting white detailing on solid oak components, creating a staircase that feels both timeless and contemporary.
