Complete Anthracite and Glass Staircase Renovation

Project: Link Way

The Morey family decided to completely refurbish their 1930’s semi-detached home in Buckinghamshire, prior to moving into the property. With a generous sized hallway, it seemed fitting to make it appear even larger for that grand entrance feel. The addition of glass made this very simple, but with the additional LED string lighting this really brought the hallway back to life.

Our custom staining service allows us to change our material finish to compliment your chosen decor, in this case it was an anthracite grey detail. There is no compromise on finishes with First Step Designs. This stain was added to all the timber components throughout the staircase, since we use solid oak throughout, a brown hint is still seen through the stain as shown on the photos.

All aspects of the balustrade were replaced with solid Oak components, set to receive the toughened and polished glass balustrades. All except for the stainless steel handrail system that fixes directly to the Oak posts as a final safety detail.  The inline glass allows a minimalist finish with no fixings on display, allowing light to travel unobstructed throughout the staircase and landing space.

This was a complete staircase renovation that even includes Anti Slip tread cladding and a replacement first step. This old dated staircase now looks like a complete replacement staircase without any of the damage of removing the existing flight!
