Central Metal Spine Staircase with Glass Balustrade
Project: Cinder Farm
The Brooks family planned a complete renovation of their home. This included moving the staircase to the opposite side of the property to create a focal point of the open plan living space. The desire for an open plan spine staircase was clear, so our team prepped a specification for the builders on site and the project was underway.
Our team liaise with your trades on site throughout your project and ensure the site is perfectly prepped for your dream staircase. Once complete, we perform a complete laser measure merged with the finest CAD software to ensure the staircase is manufactured and fits perfectly.
White walls allow our white powder coated steel spine to disappear creating a floating staircase effect without the need for structural steelwork. Our solid 105mm Engineered Oak treads were finished with anti-slip matt lacquer to compliment other schemes throughout the property, to keep the interior style consistent throughout the property.
The spine staircase allows glass balustrades to flourish. The Brooks family had a very specific brief, they did not want to see any fixings throughout the staircase. Our unique design method allows the glass balustrade to appear to fit inside of the solid engineered oak treads with no fixings visible. Keeping all the details minimalistic and elegant.
With a unique shaped staircase like this, we were able to show our installation teams true craftsmanship with a continuous handrail design for the ultimate level of comfort.
