Anthracite Grey Staircase Renovation
Project: Mitchell Rise
Mrs Hand approached our team after buying a 1990’s new build property that was built to a low specification and needed a complete revamp throughout. This included changing an old painted staircase with spindles into a real statement staircase. We as always were happy to help.
Our custom staining service allows us to change our material finish to compliment your chosen decor, in this case it was an anthracite grey detail. There is no compromise on finishes with First Step Designs. This stain was added to all the timber components throughout the staircase, since we use solid oak throughout, a brown hint is still seen through the stain as shown on the photos.
All aspects of the balustrade were replaced with solid Oak components, set to receive the toughened and polished glass balustrades. The inline glass allows a minimalist finish with no fixings on display, allowing light to travel unobstructed throughout the staircase and landing space.
This style of staircase renovation means that once your new carpet is installed, no existing area of the staircase is visible, it now looks like a full replacement staircase with minimal damage and fuss. This is our most popular style of staircase renovation but with an anthracite stained finish.
